Another March 17th goes by ........

Today is the 4th anniversary of Johnny's stroke

all to read....something I have never done

know that all of those warning signs of a stroke, well

they don't always happen

I don't get as emotional now.....I'm thankful that Johnny is still with us
thankful that he is enjoying each of these grandchildren
and we're just enjoying life!!

March 17th ....

March 17th came and went and I didn't think about something

I didn't think about the stroke that my husband had

on 3/17/11

On 3/17/12 I thought about it....wrote a post and cried about it

But this year......nope!

Did not even enter my mind on that day

Maybe the fact that our new grandson was just born kept it

off of my mind

or that I was starting vacation and spending it with the new grandson

or maybe I can't or won't dwell on it

whatever the reason......I didn't think about it

and the only reason I thought about it today was because I saw on

Facebook where people were passing around warning signs

of a stroke. And just a FYI.....my hubby had none of those

warning signs!

so I think this means I kicked the stroke to the curb......it won't

consume us! We're just enjoying life too much for that!!

Projects...

Lots and lots of projects going on getting ready for the wedding

we had a DIY day at our house on Sunday

yes...the same day Johnny had his 2nd stroke

yes...I am crazy!

here's how it went.......

on Saturday before we watched the VCU Rams who lost to Butler

in the NCAA tourney

after the game, I decided to go ahead and prepare all of the food

for our DIY day on Sunday

Then at 4:00 in the morning, Johnny woke me

the left side of his face went numb

he couldn't swallow

he had a hard time breathing

we knew....knew it was another stroke

no hesitation this time, I called 911 right away

and there we were, back in the ER

after a very short time, they decided to admit him to the hospital

he insisted we go ahead with the DIY day

so I stayed with him until 10:00 then rushed home to get all of the stuff out

and everyone came over at 12:30

and yes, like I said, I must be crazy

we had fun, got things done

and then I went back to the hospital to be with Johnny

this one was a TIA, a mini stroke
