Ya gotta love your heart.......

Here's how my day started........with a phone call around 10:20 this morning.......and as I always love to do with my kids, we made a master card commercial out of it :)

Getting a phone call from your son's boss / son in ER - can't put a price on

Sitting in the CJW ER room 4 1/2 hrs wondering if your 19 yr old son has a heart condtion - can't put a price on

Finding out your son had a bad case of reflux, heart good - priceless

Hallmark holiday's.......

This past Wed was Administrative Assistant's day..........where I work, they stretch it into a week long event. Let's just call it what it really is......Secretaries Day which is really a Hallmark holiday! Invented by Hallmark I'm sure....maybe not but it's what I like to say.

And I really never participate in all of this stuff but hey, if people want to give me gifts, who am I to disappoint and not accept. So this year.......man, I loaded up!
Let's take count........1 $24 Target gift card (must be under 25 or you have to pay taxes on it) 2 $20 Visa gift cards...(again, no taxes) 1 $20 Starbucks card, one vase of purple orchids, 1 potted plant of mini daffodils, one huge ass pot of perennials and a $50 gift card to Macy's (don't tell the tax man)

ummm.....maybe I do like Administrative Assistant's day....

Long, rambling post........

There is no real progress on the deck and the delays are due to............

1. Rain





2. Jacq and Bucky needing help laying the flooring in their house and helping them paint and move
   
3. Johnny boy working too much


4. Rain
   

But it's ok.........no rush right? As long as it gets done.....right Johnny?

So every night last week was spent helping Jacq and Bucky with the house and then Johnny started laying their laminate flooring down. They are doing the dining room, living room and hallway. The house has hardwood floors that are in horrible condition and it would have cost some major money for them to have them re-finished and being young and buying everything they needed for the house, that just wasn't going to happen. So they went with the laminate. And me........I love the stuff. I have it in my kitchen and all of my upstairs except the pool room, which is carpet. I think someone finally came up with the perfect floor when they came up with laminate. It's so easy to keep clean and even when it's dirty, it looks clean!

He's about halfway done with it but today was move day. We have spent the day packing and moving, picking up their new furniture, cleaning.......unpacking, you name it. And I'm worn out. I left over there around 7:30 and I'm beat! And Jacq and Bucky, well they were taking their first big trip to the grocery store!!!

We lost Jamie 2 years ago to a brain tumor.......a "stupid" one is what she called it!
Happy Birthday Jamie.......I love you and miss you more with each day but one day we'll be together again!!
