I've been seeing these cute little banners on some blogs and on craft shows. So I thought I would try my hand at one for Valentines Day.

I think it turned out pretty cute.
I think I'll probably make some more of these for different holidays.

Super Bowl weekend......

I'm excited even though Dallas isn't in there

A funny thing happened........

While I was home from work on Tuesday........sick!
so thankful that my employer provides us with the technology and tools to work from home!
and on the subject of sick....I'm pretty sick of being sick! It's been since last Friday and really, I'm so tired of it.
I have to wear those breathe right strips on my nose at night to even get any sleep. This morning...the strip was on my forehead...umm, fun times!

anyway, my funny from Tuesday!
Jacquelyn brought over her 2 little dogs.....Ziggy and Marley as she was having her heat worked on yesterday.
Marley is the chihuahua. Marley is the very little chihuahua...he only weighs 4 lbs.
And he's a bit mischivious!
So Jake came downstairs to go to work and noticed Marley chewing on something...it was a candy wrapper! A Bailey's choc truffle candy wrapper that we have no idea where it came from and we don't know if it was empty or if he ate the choc.
(and no worries, I notified Jacq right away and I watched him closely as we know choc is very harmful to doggies)
Now Marley is a little hyper as it is but yesterday, he was super hyper...so maybe he did have some chocolate! And oh no.....some Bailey's! I'm thinking I have a drunk hyped up chihuahua on my hands.
I don't know but I can tell you, he was running through the house for no apparent reason full blast.
About lunchtime, he settled down and slept on Ziggy the rest of the afternoon. Yes, you read that right....he likes to sleep on top of Ziggy.
and Chrissy, well, as you can see from the photo, she was just annoyed that he was even there.

Eggs - I love eggs especially in omlets that Johnny boy makes for me!

Electricity - because it's keeping me warm on this cold winter night

Eighty eight - keys on the piano in my living room. No one in my house really plays but I enjoy hearing them at least try!

Engagement ring - I love my engagement ring that Johnny boy gave me a little over 30 years ago!

Easter - A time of renewal, rebirth.....and lots of candy

Eateries - it's a place of food.......so of course!

Email - such a wonderful way to stay in touch with EVERYONE!!

Embelish - I love all of the embelishments for all of my scrapbook pages

Eyes - I notice people's eyes first....they truly are the window to their soul

Everlasting - My marriage to my hubby......it's everlasting and just keeps going and going and going and going.......

I saw somewhere a clock that is actually 3 clocks.....one set at NY time, one London time and one Paris time. They were like encased together, stacked together.

I cannot remember were I saw them
it could be on someone's blog.......I read a lot of blogs
it could be at Target, maybe Kirkland
maybe Kohl's.......
in a magazine??
it's hell getting old.....

My scrappy room.......

so here's a pic of my new awesome TV that my awesome Johnny boy gave me for Christmas.....AND....it even has a DVR!

And it means that I'm spending a lot more time in my scrappy room working on scrapbook pages.

I'm so far behind......almost done with 2007!

and also a pic of Maddox hanging out in my room.......he loves to sit in the rocker and just watch me!

I would LOVE to see some other folks scrappy rooms. I need some ideas on organizing my room better.

Saturday......

Our Niece Terri is doing much better.
She's out of ICU
Was moved to the surgical floor but she threw a fit, wanted to be with the other new moms and babes so they agreed, and moved her!
Now her hubby and new baby girl can stay with her.
This is so good for her right now

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Johnny boy is working 2nd shift today and tomorrow.....and it's pretty weird.

Watching the Arizona / Carolina game......Go Carolina!

Prayers needed........

As I mentioned in Monday's post that our niece in San Antonio had a new baby girl on Monday morning........our niece is now expierencing some pretty serious complications and is in need of prayers.

New baby girl Allie is doing fine......and has been released from the hospital, which is so sad for our niece that she can't be with her new baby right now.
Terri is still in ICU, recovering and things so far are going well.....so let's all say a little prayer that she continues to progress. She has quite a long road to recovery and as all of us mothers know, that's not so easy with a brand new baby! And a 5 year old to boot!

So if prayer is your thing, include our precious Terri and her husband Jeremy.

Two things.......

First........did you know that you can get your blog printed into a book? with pictures? How cool is that......I want mine printed up, by the year. If anyone has had this done, please let me know what service you used. I've been checking around and I'm not sure which to go with.

Second......again, I'm on my quest to lose the "no smoking" and the "lovely menopause" weight! I started on Friday.....trying to stay very close to 1200 calories a day and I've been walking each day with Chrissy. I found a really neat website where you track your calories and calories burned......and it gives you advice. So far so good.....we'll see how long this last!

Third.....oh yeah, there is a third......I have a new great niece. Born early this am in San Antonio, Texas. Little Miss Allie.....I'll get to see her in February when we all go to Atlanta.

It's over.......

Christmas that is.......I took the 2 Christmas trees down today and that was the last of the decorations.

Vacation, it's over because now it's just a normal weekend and back to work on Monday.

Eating.....oh fabulous eating! It's all over because the scales don't lie and the pants are getting tight!

Sleeping late......almost over. Only 2 more days left.

And I'm thinking Cheryl probably thinks this Alabama game is almost over....they are down 17 to 28 right now. But they can come back....

Friday night.....it's over because I'm logging off and heading to bed!

Happy New Year......

We've been watching bowl games all day.......and now watching the Orange Bowl with Va Tech vs Cinn. Tech up right now....10 to 7...woo hoo!! Go Hokies!!

We ate our traditional new years day food....cabbage and black eyed peas. It might be a southern thing, don't know but it's what I grew up eating so I just continue.

Tomorrow I will take down the Christmas trees......so sad.

I'm still off of work....yeah! Don't go back until Jan 5th.
