Painted furniture.......

I have never attempted to paint any furniture but my foyer table was a light oak...a throw back from my days of "country" decorating. I'm more into a traditional/contempory style now. So I wanted a black table in the foyer. I had found one I wanted but thought I would attempt to paint this one...hence save some moola. And worse case, if it looked bad, I would then go buy the table I liked. Well, I think it turned out great! I'm so pleased with how it looks and how very easy it was......hmmm, wonder what else I can find to paint!

and take note of my cute frog lamp.......I love him!

I LOVE the frog! And yeah, I have my great-grandothers old cedar chest and some mis-matched end tables I painted to make my room "go together" years ago. I love it and can change the color anytime I want. :)

That looks so great. I miss doing new projects - something about it is good for the soul! The frog lamp made me laugh. My youngest daughter is crazy about frogs. Thanks for following along with my husbands story and the nice comments you have made on my blog!

Great Job! Did you use primer first. What type of black paint did you use? I want to paint our bath vanity. What paint do you recommend? Thanks
